August 22, 2008 Adjourning Board of Review
Conover News Section The Conover Board of Review will be adjourned until October according to Clerk, Jim Hedberg. Notice of the Open Book and Board of Review was published in last weeks paper when Hedberg and the Board learned that the assessment roll will again, not be ready. It is anticipated that the Board will adjourn the August 24th meeting to October 19th. Hedberg states that persons wishing to discuss their property existing values or descriptions with Moravec Assessing can still do so at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 16th. Notices of values for new construction, demolition or alterations to property will not be mailed until early October. Hedberg states that once a notice is received, if owners find a discrepancy, it should be discussed over the phone or in person with the assessor, then attend the open book and if not resolved to your satisfaction, complete a formal objection form, file it immediately with the Clerk and attend the Board of Review. The reverse side of the assessment notice states your procedures to follow to comply with the Wisconsin Statutes, Hedberg says. According to Hedberg, information regarding the appeal procedures are pretty clear and can be downloaded from the town’s website (www.townofconover.com ) and the adjourned dates for the meetings will again be published 14 days prior to the new dates
