Important Notice to Property Owners 2007-08 The 2007-08 tax bill has had a face-lift. Please notice that a stub matching the amount you are required to pay is located at the bottom of the tax bill. There is a stub for making full payment to theTown Treasurer, a stub if you desire to make the minimum 1st installment payment to the Town Treasurer and come July 2008, another stub for making your 2nd and final installment to the Vilas County Treasurer. Please note the mailing addresses of each. Mail only the stub with your payment not the entire bill. ONLY if you enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope, will you receive a return receipt. Your cancelled check should be sufficient to substantiate your payment. Dog Licenses If you are know to own a dog(s), an application should be included in the mailing of your tax bill. Should you not receive an application for this license, you can pick them up in the clerks office or down load from the internet. Please make payment for dog licenses in a separate check DO NOT include fee in the same check as property taxes as in the past. Tax collection hours 2007: Saturday Dec 22nd 5 8 pm Sunday Dec 23rd 3 5 pm Saturday Dec 29th 5 8 pm Sunday Dec 30th 3 5 pm Monday (New Years Eve) 3 5 pm Tax collection hours 2008: Tuesdays 3 6 pm Saturdays 4 6 pm Sundays 3 5 pm January 31st (Deadline) 4 pm 6 pm The special message insert with all tax bills explains the new tax bill, the payment procedure and hours for collection.
